Nick Roddy
He is a Commercial Diving Superintendent and consultant who has spent most of his career in West Africa. He has been obsessed with Africa since childhood when he read Conrad’s “Heart of Darkness”. Despite being kidnapped by MEND in Nigeria and held hostage for three weeks he remains passionate about the continent. He first moved to Africa 20 years ago. After coming back to Britain for 5 years as a Police Officer, he returned, to live and work on the West African Coast. As a result of his inability to settle he is proficient in five languages, he has been shot at and arrested in a variety of countries... He writes to combat his paranoia that no one is listening.
